Entrepreneur. Investor. Builder.

I build companies. And the systems behind them.

Active across hospitality, technology, AI, marketing and real estate, in the Netherlands and Spain. Different industries, one approach: spot the opportunity, build the right team, use technology and keep improving.

Youri Lieberton

In short

I have been building companies for years. Sometimes from an idea. Sometimes from a business that already exists but can be much better. Today I am active in a marketing and technology group, a restaurant group in Amsterdam and real estate on the Costa del Sol, and I am a shareholder in a group of digital identity companies. Not at a distance, but inside the operation, with AI and data as the common thread. The denominator never changes: people, technology and execution.

How I build

Five principles that show up in every company.

  1. 01

    Spot the opportunity

It usually starts with a problem I run into myself. In a restaurant, in an agency, buying property in Spain. That is where the company is.

  2. 02

    Build the team

Strong people who take ownership. Entrepreneurs inside the company, not just employees of the company.

  3. 03

    Use technology

As a means, never as the goal. Everything repeatable gets automated, so people can do what they are good at.

  4. 04

    Measure everything

Revenue, costs, occupancy, marketing: one data layer across all companies. Not to read reports, but to decide better today.

  5. 05

    Keep improving

Experiment fast, simplicity over bureaucracy, and a critical eye on returns. What works scales. What does not, stops.

AI

AI should not sit next to your business. It should run through it.

Inside my own companies, AI agents handle customer service, reservations, reporting and marketing. Not as a pilot on the side, but built into the systems where the work happens. What works gets developed further.

Investing

Capital is useful.Operational experience is better. The strongest combination is both.

I invest in companies where technology, marketing, AI or operational improvement can accelerate growth. Preferably established businesses with revenue, a strong entrepreneur and clear room to do better.

How I invest

The path

From one agency to several industries.

  1. 2001

    Marketing

Founded A side media, an agency for online marketing and websites. That is where I learned to build, sell and lead a team.

  2. 2016

    Software

Five agencies brought together as Loyals, and a move from services to products: portals, integrations, platforms.

  3. 03

    Hospitality

Restaurants in Amsterdam, run with the same discipline: concept, numbers, people and a dashboard over every venue.

  4. 04

    Real estate

Buying and renovating in Spain turned into a business: DutchQ, buyer's advisory on the Costa del Sol.

  5. 05

    AI

Now the layer that runs through everything. Built internally first, tested on real problems, then rolled out further.

Currently building

Right now

  • 01

    AI inside the companies

Agents for customer contact, reservations and reporting, built into the systems of the companies themselves. From experiment to daily practice.

  • 02

    DutchQ

Scaling buyer's advisory on the Costa del Sol, with technology that analyses the market and people who guide the buyer.

  • 03

    Hospitality

Running the Amsterdam restaurant group on data: one dashboard, benchmarking between venues, automation wherever it fits.

  • 04

    One data layer

Accounting, banking, reservations and marketing from every company in a single environment, with AI answering the questions before I ask them.

Building something interesting?

I am always interested in meeting entrepreneurs, investors and people building ambitious companies. A business that can do better, a participation, a partnership: send a message.
